Purpose
The main aim of this program is to help Canadians obtain dentistry treatment without worrying about cost. The CDCP is run by the government, meaning it is a public program, and participants are selected based on several qualifications, one of which is their family’s net income.
Eligibility
In order to qualify for the CDCP, patients need to satisfy the following requirements:
- You’re a Canadian resident who pays taxes
- You’ve submitted your income tax return for the previous tax year
- You have no current dental insurance
- Your adjusted family income is < $90,000

What’s Offered
It takes about three months for Service Canada to review applications and notify candidates of their approval. Therefore, we advise you to apply as soon as possible.
When you are approved, you will have access to a variety of dental services, including preventive treatments like check-ups, cleanings, root canals, dental fillings, and extractions. Other treatments may need to be pre-approved before you can receive them.

Your level of coverage is calculated based on the information below. Please note that you are expected to pay any part of the treatment the CDCP does not cover.
